The multi-layer construction of the Silicone Foam Sacral Dressing facilitates dynamic fluid management to provide the optimal moist wound healing environment; this leads to the promotion of faster wound closure and may help to reduce the risk of skin maceration (damage from moisture). The gentle silicone layer can be lifted and repositioned without losing its adhesive properties. The gentle silicone layer is designed to help minimize pain to patients and trauma to the surrounding skin during dressing changes. The absorbent pad layer locks away excess moisture, leaving the wound bed moisture balanced and optimized for healing.
